Term 4 music reflection

2/4/09-Thursday
In my music theory session, we discussed about our assessment results and our report on the Java Jazz performance that we watched. We talked about the group performance of Fly Me to the Moon as well. In my piano instrument class, we practiced our Fly Me to the Moon Solo performance for next week's assessment. I did well but I still need to practice the last part of the song, but overall, I did well.

7/4/09- Tuesday
We practiced again so everyone in the piano instrument class will do great. In this session, I practiced again and again the last part and did almost perfect. But I am ready and happy with the result of today's practice.

9/4/09-Thursday
Since today is assessment day, so we use the first session for each and everyone to practice for the last time. But, the piano class did the assessment already so the next session we don't need to do it in front of everyone. I also did very well without any mistake and the beat was matched with the accompaniment, so I was very satisfied with my results.

14/4/09-Tuesday
Today we continue the solo assessment and there is only few students left, we watched everyone to finish their assessments. Also I think everybody did great in the solo assessment and probably no one fail because averagely, everyone sounded great.

16/4/09-Thursday
We started to get ready for our group performance, and so we were told who are the group members. My group member is: Gammaditya, Andrew, Rodrigo, Grace Hillary, and Arnold.

21/4/09-Tuesday
We started our group practice and we decided to perform Fly Me to the Moon again and everybody agreed. We practiced with Mr.Sadrakh and we did quite well also we tried with an accompaniment.

23/4/09-Thursday
We did our final draft of the reflection on our daily reflection that we write on our learning journal. We also did our practice again with our group with the song Fly Me to the Moon, but we tried to practice it this time in front of class so it is like the assessment day. We did quite good though, but we still have few mistakes.

28/4/09-Tuesday
We write and submit our blog site for the teacher to see our music reflection. After that we practiced Fly Me to the Moon again with our own group again. We also learned about the Major 7 inversions. We learned the root position, 1st inversion, 2nd inversion, and the 3rd inversion. However we all did well and we did the G major 7 and C major 7 together as a class.

30/4/09-Thursday
We practice and did our last rehearsal with our group and we my group tried the first time without the accompaniment from our usual keyboard. Then we performed it in front of the class which we did quite well, but the piano did not really have all of the chords. But we went through it, not really bad.

5/5/09-Tuesday
Today is our assessment day and this time we decided not to use the accompaniment as well. However me and Grace H. played with the same semi-electric piano and our chords still isn't really that good. But I think it have a better sound rather than our last session also we did not do so many mistakes like last time.

7/5/09-Thursday
In our theory class, Mr.Hery got angry because he was very disappointed with us about our performance in our level school assembly. I performed playing in the keyboard, but did quite a lot of mistakes. We also did our Solo Performance assessment reflection. Then we did our exercises of the Major 7 inversions and I got a full mark.

12/5/09- Tuesday
Today we watched the group assessment performances from class 10 B and D. The first group to perform was Liko's group, the second was Jodi's group, the third was Jeffrey's group, and the last was Juan's group. Then we have our quiz on the inversions of C, G, D, A, E, and F.

14/5/09-Thursday
Today we performed Fly Me to the Moon again because the last time Rodrigo was absent, so we played only as an accompaniment. Then Mr.Hery decided to switch our instrument class with theory class. We watched the 6 years old piano prodigy, Emily Bear. Which then we watched the same video and the Moonlight Sonata in D major duet in our theory class.

19/5/09-Tuesday
Mr.Hery distributed the Major 7 inversion which I got also a perfect score. I was happy also since I already know the trick so it was quite easy. Also since to day is the last session of music class, we spend more of our time in our instrument class than theory. Then Mr.Hery asked the piano students to right a reflection or something like it, about our classes with Mr.Hery and submitted to him, which then he read to us one by one.
